Here’s how a first appointment works at Wild Roots, along with our policies and answers to common questions.
Start with a consultation
Consultations are free and take about fifteen minutes. Bring inspiration photos and let us know your color history, including any box color or past lightening, so we can plan your service and give you an accurate quote.
Book with the right artist
We have specialists in extensions, vivid color, color correction and cutting. Book online with the artist you like, or call and we will pair you with the right person.
Your service, start to finish
Every color service includes your haircut and style, and we confirm pricing at the chair before we begin. Plan on about three hours for balayage.
Leave with a plan
Your artist will recommend at-home care for your hair and help you schedule your next appointment.
Policies
- CancellationsPlease give 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations are subject to a $50 fee.
- No-showsMissed appointments without notice are charged a no-show fee.
- RefundsServices are non-refundable.
- Our guaranteeIf you are not satisfied and the error was ours, tell us within 48 hours and we will correct the service free of charge.
- ChildrenFor their safety, children under 10 must be supervised by an adult who is not receiving a service.
Questions we hear most
Do I need a consultation before a color appointment?
Consultations are free and take about fifteen minutes. For extensions, vivid color or color correction we strongly recommend one first, so we can quote your service accurately and plan the number of sessions.
Is a haircut included with color?
Yes. Every color service at Wild Roots includes your haircut and style. A length and thickness charge may apply.
How much does balayage cost?
Balayage and foilayage start at $250 and include your haircut and style. Final pricing depends on length, thickness and color history, and is confirmed before the service begins.
What if I have box color in my hair?
Tell us at the consultation. Box color usually means a color correction, which starts at $285 and can take more than one session. Your artist will walk you through a plan to get there.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations carry a $50 fee and no-shows are charged as well.
What if I am not happy with my hair?
Let us know within 48 hours. If the issue was on our end, we will correct the service free of charge.
Can I bring my kids?
Children under 10 are welcome, as long as they are supervised by an adult who is not receiving a service.
